Adam Shelly Steps aside for Next Generation with new President Elected.

Kawana FC have just recently held their AGM and have a new look board. Adam Shelly is taking a step back from being president, with almost 4 years in the clubs top role on the board. Testing times for Adam, who overcome some huge obstacles with Covid, Floods, personal health and a music festival that left 600 members without a training & playing facilities after field damage from the wet weather during the music festival.

Adam along with his wife, club Secretary Jo Morgan, have done an exceptional job to bring this club together and build a strong club and increase participation up 40% during the past 3 seasons. They both will be taking a break from major roles, but will still be part of the committee in some capacity.

Newly elected president Todd Forrest, who grew up only streets away from the original Kawana FC home in Buddina back in 1979 until
again being relocated to Bokarina’s “Quad Park” in 1991.

Todd has played all levels for the Bananas, including the clubs first ever Senior Men’s 1st Division Grand Final in 1992, he has also coached multiple teams and sat on the board as Vice president and Sponsorship Manager for the past 2 years.

Todd is extremely passionate about this club and it’s role that it plays in the community. He’s motivated to help work on a new home for the club within the Kawana area, due to the transport corridor the club currently sits on, plus work with the committee and coaching volunteers to nurture female football growth within the club. Todd believes that within 5 years there will be as many females playing football as males at junior level.

Please join us in thanking Adam & Jo for their hard work and dedication and welcoming Todd and the new look Commitee for the 2024 season.
